CAUTION: Never use Ivory Liquid in automatic
washers or dishwashers.
Ivory Liquid's sudsing level is simply too high for these machines.
Of course, if you've tried Ivory Liquid in one of them, you've already
discovered this and simply need help getting rid of the excess suds.
Try these tips (and next time use Ivory Snow, Tide, Cheer or Gain
in your washer and Cascade in your dishwasher):
Removing Excess Suds from Automatic Dishwasher
- Remove dishes from dishwasher.
- Scoop out as many suds as possible with a plastic cup or bowl.
- Put 2-3 tablespoons of Crisco Oil or 2 cups of rubbing alcohol
in the bottom of the dishwasher.
- Run the dishwasher through a normal cycle without dishes or
automatic dishwashing detergent
Removing Excess Suds from Automatic Washer
- Remove laundry from washer.
- Scoop out excess suds.
- Allow several hours for suds that overflowed the washer drum
to deflate.
- Run washer through cold water rinse cycle with one cup vinegar.
- Return laundry to washer for cold water rinse with no additives
to remove excess suds.
